EDEKA Nord orders 3rd MDT generation at Weilandt Elektronik
"We were very pleased that EDEKA Nord also entrusted us with the support and service of the now 3rd generation of Mobile Data Terminals," says Udo Weilandt, founder and owner of Weilandt Elektronik from Essen.
Since early 2024, around 620 EDEKA Nord stores have been switching to the new generation of mobile devices, the CT45XP terminals from the US manufacturer Honeywell.
Weilandt Elektronik, based in Essen, is responsible for the entire rollout process, from storage, picking individual rollout orders, configuring and setting up devices and shipping them with accessories directly to each individual EDEKA Nord store. A ticket system is used to initiate the SWAP process (advance exchange), in which defective devices are collected and a functional new terminal is sent out at the same time. Broken hardware and accessories are repaired at the service center in Essen and returned to the customer's blocked stock.
"Weilandt Elektronik has been a reliable partner of EDEKA Nord for many years and is a competent service partner that we can always rely on," says Michael Homburg, responsible IT division manager at EDEKA Nord.
