Excellence in Apprenticeship at Weilandt

The recognition honored not only the graduate’s individual achievement, but also reflected the quality of training within the company as well as the commitment of trainer Dirk Torkowsky.

Since 2010, Weilandt Elektronik GmbH has been an officially recognized training company by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) for Electronics Technicians for Devices and Systems, and since 2023 also for IT Specialists in Application Development. Training has been firmly embedded in the company’s culture: apprentices worked as equal members of the team, received individual support, and were systematically prepared for their final examinations.

Dirk Torkowsky supported the apprentices over many years with strong personal dedication — both professionally and personally — guiding them through to their final exams.

Even if not every apprenticeship continued within the company long term, the guiding principle remained clear: training meant responsibility and the best possible preparation for the next step in each individual’s professional career.
