Honeywell PSS Becomes Brady: What the Acquisition means for your Device Fleet

The acquisition of Honeywell's Productivity Solutions and Services (PSS) business unit by Brady Corporation has been completed. Companies that use Honeywell handhelds, scanners or printers are not directly affected by the change in ownership. What will change over the coming months is primarily the brand: “Honeywell” will be gradually replaced by “Brady” or “Brady Intelligent Productivity Solutions”.

The new brand name initially plays a minor role in the ongoing operations of the company. Another circumstance is more relevant: the heterogeneity of the company's own device fleet.

Current, discontinued or already in the migration phase – how different is your Honeywell device fleet?

CT40, CT45, CT60, EDA52, EDA5S, RP2D or RP4D: In growing device stocks, different generations and lifecycle phases often come together - regardless of whether the device still has "Honeywell" on the housing today or "Brady" on the housing in the future. What is then crucial is not just the repair of a single device, but the availability and economical control of the entire hardware throughout its life cycle.

Weilandt Elektronik supports companies in keeping their hardware reliably operational - from repairs and spare parts supply through device pools and refurbished replacement devices to supporting planned technology changes and the rollout of new device generations.
Even hardware that is removed from the company's inventory as a result of a migration can still be used sensibly. As part of our device scouting, we check whether suitable devices can be prepared and passed on to other companies' existing device fleets.

In this way, we support companies in reliably operating existing device fleets, securing transition phases and planning the switch to new device generations.
So that a device failure does not turn into a process failure - and a change in technology becomes a predictable transition.
